Monica came on board and helped me develop the PIC. We've had fun over the years growing Reflections together. In 2011 we went to Wedding MBA in Las Vegas and....well what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. -
After a while and lots of hard work I started getting recognized for my hard work. I won Rookie of the Year from Action Coach which is an International business coaching firm. -
The next year I won the award for Most Efficient Business from the Forzani (Yes, THAT Forzani) Business Coaching Group. I believe youcan't just be a great weddng planner or designer, you need to be a great business personal as well to ensure you are bringing your clients the best services possible. -
My decor decor designs also started gaining recognition. I won Best Tabletop at the one and only year Reflections was at the Wedding Fair. -
The 50th Anniversary I planned and designed for Diane and Doug (check out the photos in our gallery) was nominated for a Star Award in the category of Best Wedding Over $75K. The Star Awards are Canada wide awards for the wedding and event industry held in Toronto.

So my husband Rob and I headed to Toronto got all dressed up and attended the awards ceremony. -
I had many family and friends who could not be there watching online. In particular my two little nieces and all my in-laws. -
Sadly I did not win the award as I was up against Micheal Buble's wedding. My two little nieces who were watching were so dissapointed for me that they decided to make their own award for me. This is probably my favorite on my awards shelf. -
Speaking of stars, some people say I look like Nicki Minaj....ok no not really. But I actually did get a little girl in the mall one day ask me if I was her. -
More often than not I get Liv Tyler, which I don't mind since I am a huge fan of her dad's.... -
....we're like BFF's! (In case you have been living under a rock, this is Steven Tyler) BFF's who meet once in the mall and than the one friend joins with thousands of other friends to see the one friend sing some great songs... -
...with my mama in tow of course since I think she might be a bigger Aerosmith fan than I am. -
My mom is one of the strongest people I know. She raised 5 kids on her own and I think we all turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. -
Being the oldest of 5, made me, well, the oldest of 5 and I have all the traits of an oldest and then some. (Me, Reggie, Vanessa, Jake with Peanut, and Carly) -
I'm pretty sure I tend to be a little motherly to my siblings but I just can't help being proud of them. Carly, Karli (Jake's Girlfriend, yes we know it's confusing), Jake, Vanessa and Me at Jake and Karli's graduation. -
My sister Vanessa is one of my best friends, we like hanging out....in trees evidently. -
Sometimes I think Vanessa lives with us, personally I think it's only cause she likes our Great Dane Tifah. -
Tifah used to be a little bit smaller.....go on, say it...awwwwww -
She's my little pricess so naturally I had to get her some bling! -
She loves playing in the snow, which is great since she lives in Canada and snow is available 8 months out of the year. -
We have suspicions that she is actually an alien dog. -
Or it could just be my secret (although I guess not so secret anymore since I'm outing myself on the internet) inner nerd that dreams she is an alien so I can tell myself super heroes do exists. -
My own personal super hero is my husband Rob (although I've got a pretty good super hero pose going on here...my name could be Stiletto...more on shoes later). We were married in 2004 and of course been perfectly, blissfully happy ever since. -
No, for sure we have our challenges like every relationship but love is a choice and wether it's hard or easy every morning we choose to love each other. He's the baby of the family so he helps balance me out and have some fun. -
We love going to the mountains, this was on our first anniversary in Radium. -
Cigars are much more of a hobby for him than me, but we do like enjoying the sunshine and patio with a nice cigar. -
Aside from the mountains the Okanagan is our favorite place to go, we love the weather, and the lakes and the wineries, this is at mission hill. -
Tifah of course is always along for the fun and sometimes get a few poolside friends. -
I'm pretty sure I could spend every day of the summer with this view and not get tired of it. There is nothing better than a Growers on a hot day on the dock. -
Except maybe champagne on Valentines Day.... -
or champagne on a random Tuesday with Vanessa.... -
I like champagne. -
When we are not hanging our in Kelowna you can usually find us camping. -
Or hiking. -
Other hobbies include cooking, -
and eating...and apparently Rob's hobby is photo-bombing. -
I love working in my garden in the summer and learning more about how to grow perennials. -
And of course shoes... -
