What made you want to become an event planner?

After I graduate I moved to Red Deer and attended Red Deer College and graduated with my Marketing Diploma. Shortly after graduating I decided that I wanted to pursue my passion for events. I took the Events Management Certificate at Mount Royal University. After living in Calgary for one year I met the guy of my dreams and shortly after we  became engaged. I immediately began planning my wedding with enthusiasm. Friends and family often commented that I had found my niche in wedding planning. That is when I decided to pursue wedding planning and enrolled in the Wedding Planner's Institute of Canada (WPIC). When I finished I sent numerous emails to various companies to get some experience in the wedding industry. And thats how I got on with the Reflections team.
I initially joined the Reflections team as a member of the set-up crew, and I quickly proved myself as an amazingly hard worker with a fabulous eye for detail! I was addicted to the organized chaos that I was a part of during the summer. It was then I knew after 5 long years in search of my passion I had found it.

What's your favorite part about working with clients?
My favourite part of being part of the Reflections team is seeing the couples’ faces when they catch the first glimpse of the ceremony & reception room after it has been transformed, and knowing in that instant that all of the hard work that has been put into creating and executing the design has been completely worth it. 

My other favorite part would be when the bride is walking down the aisle. I love watching the grooms reaction. Its at that very moment that you get a sneak peak at the love they share between each other.

I'm a sucker for a good love story. I love hearing the stories of how clients have met and other experience they have had together. 

What is your design style?
My style design is a few different things. I really like the vintage theme with light colors. I also really the glam look with sparkle. What girl doesn't like a little sparkle! 

What do you like to do for fun?
I love sports! I'm a big farm girl who would give any spare moment to be out in the fresh air surrounded by all sorts of animals. I am very active and enjoy sporadic trips out to the mountains. I also really enjoy travel to different countries such as Mexico!

Three wishes...hmmm thats tough.
